Sharing a Green Travel Plan Culture

EIT Urban Mobility RIS Hub Malta is organising a workshop at the Valletta Design Cluster with the theme ‘Sharing a Green Travel Plan Culture’. The workshop is being held on 18th November 2022, 1.00 to 4.30pm.

The event is free of charge.

The EIT Urban Mobility RIS Hub Malta is supported by EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union. It has been set up as part of the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS), the EIT Community’s outreach scheme. The Hub in Malta is led by Project Aegle Foundation, the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) and the Valletta Cultural Agency through the Valletta Design Cluster, with the aim to nurture sustainable visions for better urban mobility in the Maltese Islands.

Concept Note

While Malta is a small country, measures are being implemented to improve people’s mobility across the nation in terms of infrastructure and services. Organisations can also have an impact on improving the use we make of our streets while supporting the wellbeing of their employees and adopting sustainable and efficient operations.

In this context, ‘Sharing a Green Travel Plan Culture’ aims at offering information and support to those public and private entities willing to make their mobility-related operations more sustainable. Covering a wide range of topics including logistics, the wellbeing of employees and the collaboration with stakeholders to achieve shared mobility-related benefits,  the event will develop over 2 hours in a roundtable about sustainable mobility and Green Travel Plan implementation joined by mobility experts, representatives of authorities and Green Travel Plan coordinators, followed by a workshop aiming at providing participants with practical tips on how to create and implement your Green Travel Plan.
